Losing Demarco Murray vs losing KB. Media double standard?

we are talking about a WR corp.  There job is different.  They create and do different things on a field than a TE.  There big picture role is different.

Greg Olsen being a great TE has nothing to do w/ that conversation.

Has nothing to do w/ being glum.  Has nothing to do w/ being a "Debbie Downer".  It is just talking football.  Our WR corp stinks this year.   Is what it is.  We will try to deal w/ that and hope someone gives us more than believed.

So your point is that KB's production can't be sufficiently replaced by the other WR's, in order to have a decent passing game? It can't be just that he's a one man receiving corps. Hard to dispute his production. If your high quality running game takes a hit because your best back is out, you're not doomed if your other backs can still keep the D honest and your passing game can make up the difference in the points dept. My point is that we're not necessarily doomed by the absence of KB. Just because you're forced to adjust it doesn't mean you can't still win, and I prefer not to go into every game thinking we're screwed without KB.

No, our other WRs can't replace KB.  They can't.

Now could we be behind in games and forced to pass more and Cam finish the season with more raw passing yards to WRs? Sure....that doesn't equate to them replacing him.

No WR on this roster can fill the void he leaves.  He was a physical mismatch out of the gate and that forced opponents to adjust how they played defense....which in turn began to open up things for his teammates as the season went on.

We might not be doomed but we are now on thin ice.  Any other deficiency that occurs either to poor play or injury now becomes even bigger.
