OTL Report: Goodell's Handling of Deflategate was a "Make-up Call," After Letting Pats Slide On Spygate (Panthers Related)

Thats all good and dandy but most of our Oline was using roids. I feel it was a fair trade off.

LOL, and you don't think they were?  Our guys just got caught.

Man, I'd be surprised if more than 25% of the players league-wide were clean.  I'm just saying, they had roiders too, as does every team, so that isn't necessarily a competitive advantage, but stealing calls and taping walkthroughs is a whole different level.

I don't care about Goodell he's just the cover-up artist and scapegoat. It's the organizations that benefitted from this with hardly any repricusions that pisses me off.

FYI alot of the league used roids but that doesnt give you the ability to know what the next team was gonna do. Also some of the pats were using roid too we just got caught. Like stickem back in the day. I don't think anyone was doing spygate poo though that's the difference

That and we probably would have won that game, despite the cheating that most likely occurred, had our kicker not squibbed the ball out of bounds.

Yeah, but that kick wouldn't have been as big of a deal had we not spotted them all those points so early (most likely due to them knowing the scripted plays, calls, etc.).

Spygate and Bounty gate both were against us in a big way. Why do we just take it and not raise hell? Oh yeah that big ass shield midfeild.

In all honesty, even as much as I hate the Saints, what they did pales in comparison to the Patriots objectively speaking.  Football is an inherently violent sport, and even though the Saints took it to another level with the sanctioned Bounty program, players trying to knock out/ injure other players, especially in high-profile games, is nothing new.

The Saints are certainly not the only team that has ever tried to cheap shot or purposely injure Cam.  Remember the Bengals game last year?

Also, the Panthers have knocked their fair share of guys out of games, intentional or not.  Chris Sims lost a spleen courtesy of Al Wallace.  Mike Mitchell knocked Sam Bradford out of bounds and tore his ACL.  It's football, and it happens.  I doubt the Panthers coaches were upset in either case.

The Patriots have tried to undermine and circumvent the rules of competitive play and the integrity of the game the entire Belichick regime.  They have and continue to show complete disregard towards all of the other 31 teams

exactly every time I hear oh but we almost won and we fuged up so we can't blame the cheating. Bullshit there was a entire fuging game before that kick, meaning if they didn't cheat we would have had a higher score before the kick.

If the Braves hitters were told what pitches Morris was going to throw back in "91, they would have won the World Series...period.

This is a whole new level of cheating.  Kasay could have completely wiffed that last kickoff and it wouldn't have mattered because we would have been up by 14.

This burns my ass.

Bless Dan Henning for switching it up
