Philly Brown and Ted Ginn Jr are the worst starting receiver tandem in the league...

A couple of preseason TD drops and Brown is the worst thing that happened to us. I remember when people were talking him up because Gettleman found a diamond in the rough.

Ted Ginn would be welcome in several teams. Brown would probably be on the bubble or 4th in the depth chart.

I'm not going to play the 'it's game over man, the season is a wash!" game yet. I'd rather give them a shot in the next couple of games and hope for the best. I still feel they will be enough because we have our true #1 in Olsen. Also, Funchess could be starting opposite Ginn in a couple of games.

Acting like Gettleman doesn't care about our WR corp is asinine. He absolutely does but given the circumstances his hands are tied and I applaud him for not making a rash move for a WR that will cost this franchise more high future draft picks. Kelvin's injury isn't DG's fault, you can't fault the guy for it. He drafted another big bodied guy that the plan was to ease in while KB did his thing. Now, much like Benjamin last year, who all of you were doomin and gloomin over, will have to step up and catch on quickly. Last year, besides Olsen, KB had no one...Avant, Cotchery, Brown, Bersin....This year, KB is gone. Funchess has, Ginn, Brown, Norwood, Cotchery. Oh and of course old reliable Olsen. Only difference is that Funchy isn't starting...yet. So be patient for a bit and let these guys do their jobs.

Sure, there are other teams that haven't won a Superbowl either.  Doesn't mean I like it when we're still on that list.

And for the record, I don't think Brown and Ginn are the worst duo in the league...bottom third probably.  With the salary cap every team has it's weakness.

Ours is injury and it happens every years. Teams like Green Bay and Indy go in with loaded weapons and a injury here and a injury there and now they have Adams and Montgomery. SMF also picked and chooses where he wanted. We have Olson and Funchess to help.

I don't know or really care what you're trying to say here. It's like that has been festering in you for a while and you've been looking for the first opportunity to whine about it.

it's probably the same contingent of people, i'd reckon.

Lmao, Growl of all people is talking to someone else about looking for something to whine about. The irony in that post may break the huddle.

KB is gone for the season.

No point holding onto it. Let it go.

The team is moving forward, as I suggest you do so.

Our receiving aren't ideal, but it's never ideal to lose your top receiver.

I still consider us better off than last season.

May not have KB, but we have a lot more talent throughout the corp.

and every year, said position group holds us back from ultimate success

It is exactly what is so amusing about the usual apologist crap from the same garbage posters year in and year out

I'm still trying to figure out what qualifies someone as being a "garbage poster." Receivers, eh, we know it'll be a challenge for us. But garbage posters? Some are apparently not worthy of being starting receivers, others aren't worthy of posting on a forum board.

I think some folks are taking this way, way too seriously.

the only problem with this constant whining about the receivers is that they haven't started the season yet. What if this group turns out to be what Newton needs and like Manning, he makes them better...Ricky likes them and therefore I do too. How can we be so down on a group before we play the first game of the season?

I hope we end up in the top half of the league with passing yards and QBR- while the D is top 4 and we end up 10+ wins....

remember Stevonne Smith was punt returner and he turned out to be ok as a receiver

And the hate continues.. now including Ginn!!!  it's one thing being a passionate fan and another thing when you down right dislike who plays for a team that you are a fan of.

I don't think that anyone "hates" Ginn (or Brown really), I just think that people don't particularly care for Ginn starting in the X position.  Only on the Carolina Panthers.
