Philly Brown and Ted Ginn Jr are the worst starting receiver tandem in the league...

Sorry, rodeo. I just have to say that I hope you are not serious about this. Really, really, really hope so.

Serious about what? That it was one of the most obvious and terrible decisions in recent Panthers history that Rivera, for whatever reason, insisted on starting the worst guard on the team? And that it very clearly cost us games? All of these things are utterly true.

My, my. I come back to this thread and it exploded. That tells me I hit on a sore spot.

I never said this team was "doomed". Our defense is too good for us to be a bad team. I think 9-7 sounds about right. I think we'll have a better overall record than last year and still miss the playoffs. Mike Shula + Ginn + Brown is a disaster in the making. We put too many of our eggs in the KB basket and it's come back to bite Gettleman and the team in the ass.

And to those predicting a Pro Bowl caliber year for Funchess his rookie year, I can see how spoiled you all have been. What KB did as a rookie last year was absolutely an anomaly, not the rule. Rookie receivers almost always struggle and always hit the wall late in seasons. If your expectation for Funchess is to duplicate what KB did last season, you're going to end up very disappointed. He'll be great eventually, that won't be this year.

I'm not going to debate either side, I'll just state that's there's around 15 other teams that would be in this if you took away their #1.

Ginn is is wild card here, (every other stop minus one year on the the fins) hes been hella bad. Borrow a Dave saying he fits, he must have a career year. What are the chances and right now at this moment is he a #1/must double team...... No idea, but either can't be very high %s. Still there's hope.

Corey brown sure he's got a case of the drops, but he still gets open. Hopefully he's beaten that issue. Top dawg and others trash him and even laugh at last years stats, but his came on the last 6/7 games after they cut avant. Plus he was dealing with a shoulder the whole time, not just the last game.

Hope is powerful, I'm not a huge hope fan...... But it is what it is. In order for success in the passing game, these guys have to have career years- stew(hes a good reciver), Tolbert, Dickson, fozzy, Williams, shula, and the whole WR group.

Reminder viking found there #1 off browns PS and he was cut form green bay before that. Panthers found a starting caliber RT that was cut 5 times before.

Not pretty and I don't know the entire 31 teams WR group, to comment that this is worst. Last year was insane, plenty unbelievable things happens that no one predicted. Most here forgot but the mood around here was dire, not we're picking top five, but we willwill be picking 1st overall. Zod made a thread about IRing Cam,  Dave cut Smitty and signed harper, Cam could have died form a bridge crash, Darren reeves/frenchie started a game for us, hardy...... Ron's house caught fire, Greg's son, etc etc.

Raiders aren't that much better off either. Michael Crabtree, who had a good year in 2012, but has otherwise been nothing to tell mom about in his career. Then Amari Cooper, who was great in college, but unproven as of yet as he is just a rookie. Things aren't looking great for Oakland either, folks.

We're not in a great spot, but let's not act like we're doomed.

First of all, when is does it ever look great for Oakland? Secondly, who cares about them anyway?

So I have faith in my team, the Panthers, and the coaches & players & FO & stadium staff, down to the lady that sews the names on the jerseys & alters them for each player. I also don't give up or give in. Fans have it easy.

If Gettleman cared about Cam he would never let this happen:
