Does Cam take a step this year?

He's been pretty accurate in the preseason (the drops just haven't helped his numbers), so that's a good sign.

To really see a step though, I think he needed KB.  Before KB went down I thought Cam could be a dark horse MVP candidate. Now? We'll see. As already said, he kinda is what he is with the gunslinging and lack of touch sometimes.  He's never going to have Aaron Rodgers accuracy, but I think he cements himself as a Top 10 QB this year and becomes a tad more consistent.

KB going down could actually help him in an MVP race. If he plays extremely efficiently and the team is winning, he'll be in the discussion considering the WRs he has.

Why must our starting franchise player take a step this year?

He's done plenty. The only thing I need to see from him is to be more accurate with his passes, especially with the lack of talent at WR.

My biggest fear about him this year, is that he won't throw the ball away when he should, because it'll make his accuracy percentage go down. I'm afraid he's gonna take too many hits because if it.

He doesn't need to take a step, he's already checking into and out if plays at his own will. He just needs to be more accurate. Hell, he can be deadly accurate this season, and not improve his percentage because our WRs can't catch the freaking ball when it hits them right in the #s.

Want to shoot the breeze until Sunday? I'm all for it, but I'm not trying to hear a fellow fan regurgitate what they hear in that network not to be named

I think he should, and he will, but it's going to depend on a few things obviously.

Biggest question is, will this offense allow him to? We know that we are limited at WR, but our OL has improved. The question mark beyond that is, how will our run game look? We've got some talent in the backfield, but they absolutely have to get it going. If we have to lean on Cam to run the ball again this year like we have in years past, it is going to have an impact on his mechanics. The guy is still human. He needs his RB's to do their part.
