Assemble your WR group

Given that Devin Funchess is a rookie and has a ton of potential, he's locked in. Assemble your WR group given their stats from last season.

WR A-38 catches 405 yards 4 touchdowns
WR B-48 catches 580 yards 1 touchdown
WR C-21 catches 296 yards 2 touchdowns
WR D-14 catches 190 yards 0 touchdowns
WR E- 9 catches 102 yards 0 touchdowns

Going off last season's stats doesn't indicate what they will do this season.   Trying to determine what will happen with the current group is futile as the roster is not set at this point.   We all hope that whoever they line up will produce so I don't get the point in worrying about who is projected to be the main targets as long as someone steps up and gets it done.

I didn't realise Cotchery had more receiving yards than Nicks did last year.

The context, by the by:

A- Hakeem Nicks, B- Jericho Cotchery, C- Corey Brown, D- Ted Ginn, E- Kevin Norwood

I knew everyone but Ted Ginn. Anyway...

That's why context is so important.  Cotchery was the second option in a suspect receiving corps. Nicks was arguably the fourth or fifth option in a loaded receiving corps (that got a little richer this season).

Age,  hands, skill set and fit should be considered as well. What's  the upside? What's the downside?

That's exactly the point and why I chose not to name them with context included. So many people here like to point out why they don't receiver A without realizing that he outperformed every WR we have despite being in a more talented lineup. So even when you take context away and just get down to raw numbers he still outperformed anything we have.

Hey,  I'm with you. That's  why I posted what I did about people scoffing at receivers in the other WR thread.
