Wegher to make final roster per Jonathon Jones

Todman showed more IMO, will be upset if we're letting him go just to keep a guy who's only played against fringe talent at best.

Todman only played against fringe talent as well.  He hit a home run or two, but he also gets stuffed a lot more.  When Wegher gets hit behind the line, he still picks up a couple yards.  I said it from the beginning, he reminds me of Stewart.  Wegher's home run potential may be marginally less than Todman's, but he far more dependable.

I realize how you feel, but we have to look towards the future as well.  Wegher has a lot of upside and really hasn't even scratched the surface.  We kind of know what Todman brings to the table. If we can get Wegher where he needs to be,  he will be a better fit.  That being said,  Todman is better at special teams and has proven more than Wegher in camp. I will still be surprised if we dump him.

THIS!!!

Was almost going to start a thread about Wegher resembling Stewart but too lazy. Glad you see it too. Wegher has the power to run people over and also has the speed to turn the corner on the outside. There aren't many backs that have that combination and that's why I think Wegher is a future number 1 back. As far as power goes Stewart's obviously in a class of his own but Wegher definitely reminds me of him!

Wegher had some impressive 3-4 yard runs on Thursday and his pass blocking was impressive as well. Like you said, Todman too often fell on first contact and reminded me of a back we just finished getting rid of!
