I think this a very rare instance where you literally will be able to get a good grasp if this team is headed to the playoffs as early by week 4. After our bye we have the Seahawks, Eagles, Colts and Packers all in a row. If we are 2-2 or 1-3 at our bye before that tough stretch then this season is toast.

 

A. It will show that we couldn't even manage a winning record against 4 teams that not a single one made the playoffs last season and B. If we can't do that then we are toast against literally the 4 best teams in the NFL. 

We HAVE to be atleast 3-1 at the bye or the bottom line is this team will not be heading to the playoffs

Huh? Reg season their record is 19-12-1 so um yes they were. Idk if that deserves the comment you just left, that's not including Rivera first 2 seasons since he was HC, which then puts him dead at .500

If we snap the ball on offense, every damn play with 1 or 2 seconds left on the play clock, it may well be a grind-it-out, curse-the-TV, slap-your-wife-kick-your-dog kind of afternoon.  We win 17-13.

Doing some research...

- Jags own us 3-2 all time. We have never won IN Jacksonville. 
- We are 7-13 all time on opening weekend
- Jags are 11-9 all time on opening weekend

If this was a game in any other week than opening week, I'd have confidence. But the Panthers just have proven to struggle against bad teams in season openers. just a fact.
