I like how on our first drive he would say "that was a nice choice by Artis-Payne" several different times.  Seems like he wanted to use the word "choice" instead of "run".  Doesn't seem like a bad guy just small things here and there that are fun to poke at.

If you listen to his broadcasts, he really has a highly educated football mind. He will start each play with "Moving Right to Left, Panthers in Jumbo Package which leaves the WR in one on one coverage". He often quotes plays as they would be called in a huddle. If you played football its a joy to listen too, as you know the alignments and formations in use. If you are a football fan, you might not understand all of the details he presents. He is kind of clever with his dialect or mixonisims. I do agree it was difficult to listen to his TV broadcast. At one point in the game last night, Brandon Wegher rushed the ball on 3rd down and was a yard shy of a first down. Mixon then quotes "Wegher up the middle moves to the left hash, finds a crease and get a first down by a yard or two.

That was a poor broadcast last night. Horrible high-pitched noises in the first half, Mixon talking over the ref announcing a penalty and then wondering what the penalty was, etc.

this pissed me the fug off. Over talkinv the damn penatly and not kknowing what the damn call was. STFU Mick!!!!!

The Mick Mixon monologues are the worst. This one time he created this long winded metaphor about shaving and sharpening the blade so you can clean up. It's football Mick, relax.

didn't rucker say at one point "as a running back, i like the way he runs"? uhhh.....

 

mixon is god awful. spends far too much time tryint to make sound bytes than tyring to intelligent. why he insists on calling players by their first, middle and last name is mind boggling. he called, i think, vick "the band leader" seriously. just call the game.

I'm watching the NFL network rebroadcast and there using the steelers stream. Is it sad that I'd rather listen to them than our own. There calling plays and correct player names. Commenting on good panther plays. Listening and replaying penalties so you know why there was a flag. It's like night and fuging day. It's stunning.

I have watched a lot of preseason games this year, and I believe I know some of the reason why the Panthers get very little nation recognition.

Each team has at least one announcer that weekly, if not daily, report for NFL network or ESPN .... We have Mick Mixon and Mike Rucker
