The issue I had last night was with the audio. It sounded like a golf tournament.  Maybe Steeler fans just suck though.

He could stand to talk a little more but other than that I really don't have an issue with him. He's the preseason broadcast guy. Doesn't exactly need to be Howard cosell.

I don't mind the mixonisms, it is the delivery that is abysmal.

It's like the Panthers seached for the most lifeless delivery they could find and said, "book him".  

His voice just sucks the energy out of a game.

That was a poor broadcast last night. Horrible high-pitched noises in the first half, Mixon talking over the ref announcing a penalty and then wondering what the penalty was, etc.

Mixon never was a play-by-play guy. So, it's no surprise he's dreadful. If we still had Rosinski I'd sync the broadcast to the TV; right now, I just cringe on the off occasion I have to listen. But he's a homegrown guy and untouchable - usually love that about this state but not here.

Rumor was that an awful lot of people who worked with Rosinski didn't like him much.  He was said to be kind of a prick.

That may not matter much to fans, but it matters a lot to the people that have to work with him on a regular basis.

I get that. You only get to be kind of a prick when you're hard to replace (Terrell Owens anyone?). You only get to be a lot of a prick when you're the one deciding who's replaceable.
