Norwood will prove to be an excellent addition

top dawg

He is a well put together 200 pounds. He revealed just a little bit of shake-n-bake at the line, runs deceptively smooth routes, and has good hands. Once he really acclimates to our system and Proehl coaches him up, Norwood is going to do some unexpected damage this season.

I don't think we traded for him just to cut him. That's pretty ridiculous.

We aren't exactly in a position where we can be extremely picky anyway.

You call a conditional, last round of the draft, 2 years removed a trade?

By definition a Celica is a sports car but don't tell that to people who actually own legitimate horses.

Not saying he WILL get cut but it is definitely a possibility.  We didn't bring in Jerry Rice.

Again, noice, but we need to be realistic, you dig?

Not really worth arguing over, it was a trade. Yes for a rather inconsequential pick, but our GM obviously felt it was not worth waiting on him to be cut, and someone else possibly picking him up before us. So he made a move. Add in the familiarity they have with him going back to the draft with Ricky Proehl, that obviously says that he has a certain level of confidence in Norwood's ability to contribute.

I would put the "possibility" of him being cut at less than 1% right now.

Now the TE, and RB position groups are a whole different story altogether. There are some tough decisions coming there.

RB, LB and TE positions I will agree with you (yes I know I added LB but I had to).

I have no idea what Norwood showed at practice but I do know he appears to catch with his hands which is a plus but I am not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt yet.  He gets an endorsement from the Ron/Dave brain trust, or even better yet the Proehl endorsement I will take the blue pill.
