Why does our play action pass suck so bad?

It is by design.  Look back on Cam's first 2 seasons and you see him on multiple occasions really fake the handoff (tucks the ball deep into the runners chest).

IMO, there are several reasons. First is we haven't run well enough, consistently enough to constantly honor the threat. Second reason is Cam does a pretty pedestrian job of selling it. Few are really good at it, but you know it when you see it. Favre wad a master, P Manning was really good in Indy on the stretch fake. Delhomme didn't sell it very well either.

1a) Cam doesn't sell it.

1b) Shula doesn't design them well.  When a OLineman comes out passblocking or not pulling for a PA pass......welp..

is that Shula? Or is that our OL coach?

I know we always have long long developing routes on our PA plays. That certainly doesnt help.
