As the OP indicated, unpredictable and distracted human drivers. 

Prohibitively expensive insurance rates for human beings behind the wheel will likely rid the roads of this hazard within our lifetime.

You know they have problems in rain, snow, and ice right? Or are you one of those freaks that only goes outside when it's above 70?

That is one of my main questions with this.  I would have no problem sitting back and letting it take control in some cases but I do not think I would trust it on snow/ice
