Honestly I'm surprised that he isn't going to try to start again, but I do like the signing.

dude has a sweet gig.  He is loved now, makes good money, little pressure. 

He he wouldn't last a year elsewhere and then likely struggles to find a place he likes to be a backup.  He doesn't want to be 2015 Hoyer when he has this gig.

I remember him saying on This is Gross a few years back how much he loves living in Charlotte and how it's a great place to raise a family. Sounds like he's putting down roots which is awesome. I'm glad when anyone wants to actually stay with the team. One of the best backups out there and can start in a pinch.

Sweet.  Actually have very much enjoyed watching DA play when he's been out there this preseason.  Dude seems extremely comfortable.  God forbid anything happening to Cam, but I actually feel DA gives us a chance to win with our D if anything were to happen, which usually isn't the case when it comes to second stringers.

Top backup in the NFL, no brainer.  QB stability means sustained success.

Might be that he enjoys being here in Carolina, without all the pressure and criticism that comes with being a starter.   In reality, he has a great job.  Great pay and low risk. 

That and low-risk for injury. At least he wouldn't be hobbling around the rest of his life

Best back up in the league. We are fortunate. I still think Webb should be the long term back up after Anderson retires.
