CBS will live-stream two regular season games

For the first time ever, CBS will be streaming two regular season NFL games for free, no authentication required.

The first game will be between the Jets and Dolphins October 4th. That game is being played in London and the stream starts at 9:30am eastern.

The second game? You guessed it. The Panthers vs Cowboys Thanksgiving matchup will stream for free on CBS. Pretty damn cool if you ask me.

which is 2:30PM local time. they could have pushed it back an hour or two to make it 4::30GMT/11:30ET/9:30PT.

4:30 GMT would make it 8:30 PDT, so not really much better, and the NFL specifically moved the games earlier in London's day to boost attendance.  The games used to be played late so they would air at usual US times, I think as recently as 2013.

If it were two west coast teams they would probably consider it.  However, it's two east coast teams playing in London.  They probably aren't too worried about the folks west of the Rockies.

my guess is the real reason they moved it is so that it won't conflict with the regular games. Starting it at 9:30ET finishes at Noon:30, which is...wait for it...30min before the regular games are supposed to start. *gasp*

what a coincidence. it's all marketing, so they can showcase the UK games.
