Gettlemagic doesn't give a f#$ck - as far as he's concerned - he's setting the Panthers to be competitive for the next 10 yrs not trying to win and get to the playoffs this year (Patriots trying to cash everything they have with Brady) 

No veteran Receivers... Cam - Sry bud .. You're what matters. 

 

This season will be fun to watch... and if you sell all your stocks before they crash more every week.. even more fun.

I wouldn't call it a youth movement....

We just simply don't have guys that can play and very few options. 

Also it is kinda a contradiction to claim the focus is on Cam mattering when every season of his career his talent around him has gotten weaker and weaker (even if one injury was why the pattern continues this year).  This is Cam's 5th year.....that is a mindboggling trend

im not saying i agree thats what he is doing but that seems to be the excuse narrative every year here.

To be fair, G-man has only been in control for 2.5 years and just now dug out of Hurney's pile of crap. He has Cam signed and still has to sign Kuechly. I think it's coming together just as Cam is going to peak. Maybe this year, maybe not. But I think the next few years at least look good for the Panthers.

      I put it out there earlier in this thread, the teams ahead of us in the draft had a lot of games against each other while our only realistic winnable game left (outside of an unexpected upset) is Dallas. The Titans and Jags still have to play each other twice for example too. Cleveland winning last night was huge, especially as they have a tougher schedule than us, so if we both now lose out, we'll get the higher pick due to the easier SOS.

      I think push comes to shove, if they can't sign a top LT in free agency, that's the route they'll end up going Yes they need WRs, but they also need to protect their young franchise QB, and with a HC who was a defensive player, I think he'd want to build that OL for his QB before finding him a WR if it's one or the other. If they are able to sign a top OT at the start of free agency, that would certainly change things, but if not, I'd be shocked if they don't go that way with their first pick.
