Is Norwood the 6th WR or will he replace Bersin/Boykin?

This is Gettleman's only player trade as a GM.

One has to think this kid has a roster spot for Gman to initiate his first trade.

Sure, but is it Boykin's or Bersin's roster spot...?    ***coy smile and a raising of the eyebrows three times in quick succession***

I don't think he proved much in Seattle, and what did Gman give up to get him? If it was a 6th or 7th round pick- no big deal.

Seems pretty obvious Bersin is likely not going anywhere. People can piss, and moan about it if they want.

Boykin better have the game of his life against the Steelers.

I'm assuming Norwood starts and plays throughout most of the 4th preseason game? It's the only way we can evaluate him before the regular season starts.

Difficult to see. always in motion is the future....

(yoda ftw)

so he gets here Tues or Wed?  we play on Thurs?

Don't you need to know our playbook, our language etc to play most of a game at WR?

People mad about it being a trade need to chill out. It's a conditional 6th or 7th for a player who we (Proehl) supposedly love and was a 4th round pick last year. He would've gone to waivers and probably been picked up before us if we let him get cut. Whether he turns out to be good or not doesn't really matter. This is a no-lose move.

Other than Funchess (who is still a question mark) Boykin is our only "outside" type WR. Norwood and Bersin are both better suited for the slot. I just don't see how you can cut Boykin at this point (which is pretty sad)

you forget our best WR.  our best WR is Ted Ginn Jr.....he can play on the outside.  He should be the only locked starter at this point
