Looks like Panthers have signed WR Kevin Norwood

People keep saying this is out of character for DG and therefore makes Norwood a lock. We basically just gave up a pack of gum for him. That's all. If he works out, great. If not, no biggie. I don't see him as a lock though.

But...but...but I spent all afternoon sharpening my pitchfork

Beggars can't be choosers, man it sucks that we are beggars

15 page thread for a no name receiver, imagine how big the thread will be the day we trade or sign for someone with actual talent.

It's a discussion board and that is what it is used as. It's amazing to me that such tiny news is on page 16 and still going strong. Just goes to show how popular this site is. Good thing we aren't some other teams forums where some big news topics get 2-3 replies total. We must be doing something right. And he does have talent or he wouldn't have gone to Alabama, he wouldn't have been drafted in the 2nd round, Gettleman wouldn't want him, and he wouldn't even be in the NFL.

Small price to pay and hope for the best. If this is for a one week audition to see what he's got, I'm all for it. If the staff is already planning on him making the team over a guy that's had a solid preseason like Boykin...that's more disappointing.

It'll be interesting to see how they play them against the Steelers. Seems really late to bring in a guy with his experience that won't get any game reps with Cam.

Word of caution guys:

No matter how much you wish for it when you say your prayers before you go to sleep at night, A.J. Green ain't walkin' through that door.

Trent Richardson went to Alabama and was drafted in the first round, that doesn't mean he has talent. He was about to get cut from a team with average receivers, which means he couldn't beat none of them out in practice.

We have two different perspectives on what is talent.

It's not that serious. If Norwood doesn't impress then we will cut him and we get back our pick. If he does impress then we may hit on a gem.

Yep.  We used a loophole to get to the front of the waiver wire.  This happens every offseason when some teams really want to ensure they get a guy about to be released.  I don't understand how this is going past some peep's heads.
