As Breakable as Funyuns (Funchess) injures leg in practice again

It is getting to the point that we just cant assume he will play much thos season.

Gettleman has to look at a trade.

i know people here are desperately hoping somebody will get cut that can reinforce the position, but WR is different from positions of years gone by where weve waited until cuts to bring guys in.

this isnt like DT. The position has so many slots and is so hungry for talent that teams dont part with talent there. Teams look for at least 4 good players they can stick out on the field and then seek depth/ST. It wasnt so long ago we ourselves were talking about keeping 6 or even 7 guys.

Most of the guys youre seeing getting cut now are the guys who couldnt make their way onto that. Fringe 5/6 players who couldnt crack the lineup. There is the possibility an older player gets cut to make way for a younger pair of promising legs, but then weve got to listen to the parade of "ugh we'd have to pay him though? Like in money?" Or "uuuuughhh old players like anquan boldin/steve smith/ andre johnson are sooooo ollld and done why are there no flawless players being released in second cuts sooooo annoying i really hoped oakland would part with amari cooper"

you know, the works.

There are a lot of things in football that annoy me.  Lord knows I like to complain about them.  High on that list: rookies who get some stupid nagging injury in camp then spend the whole season nursing said stupid nagging injury while we sit around and wonder how good they could be if they weren't broken out of the box.

On the bright side we're going to get really good at what-could-have-been here this season.  We're already pretty solid but we can up our hypothetical game to god-like at this pace.
