Star's stress reaction

I've seen commentary here and there in different threads concerning Star, but no one seems to be paying it that much attention.

Our defense is legit, to be sure, but the fact that our back up DTs are old[er] gives me pause for the season's sake.  Sure, Star may be able to start on Day 1, but a 300+ lb person walking around on an aching foot doesn't give me hope.  Adding to that, KK is having back trouble at a position that's about 50% legs and 50% back.  I'm not saying either's absence will make the D horrible.  Just curious as to everyone's feelings about the situation.

I'll worry when it becomes an issue. Right now it's a minor inconvenience during the preseason.

Significantly concerned.  Anytime a big man starts having recurring foot issues it's concerning.

Luckily with our schedule we can slowly bring his workload up in the first 4 games. Would be nice to have him fully back by the bye week.

honestly I'm resting him until we are 100% sure he is ready to go. Star is too valuable to our future to waste his career on a game versus Jacksonville. 

I wouldn't be upset if he didn't play till week 5 and if he still isn't ready by that point then that's ok too.

I woulndnt be suprised if they put him on the 6 week IR program in order to get him healthy or attempt to do so.

I'm worried in that a stress reaction is the beginnings of a stress fracture.

But as long as it never becomes a stress fracture then I'm good.

I'm very nervous.  Star is a bigger cog in this wheel than the stat line indicates.

Im worried. But thats because im a clingy worry wart about my fav player. 

 

They took the right precaution to keep him out over a month.
