Is Justin Hunter still on the bubble in Tenn? 

Keep in mind..even if a WR is cut who may be better than a Corey Brown, Bersin etc..being in camp, knowing the system goes a long way so it would have to be a considerable upgrade over X player.

Quinton Patton could be on the bubble in San Fran.  I remember a lot here liked him coming out of the draft.

i mean look at it like this, if boykin is on the bubble here in carolina with our weak receiving corps, then teams with really strong receivers will have better players on the bubble

also could mean we aren't as good at evaluating WR talent....perhaps choosing to keep weaker talent that has been with us longer.  Putting a premium on guys knowing a playbook and putting too much stock in that.  

I personally think we could find a better SS from a talent perspective fairly easy when all cuts occur....Harper will just know the system

I have no idea where the Patterson talk is even coming from. Guy had a spectacular return yesterday.

His role in the Viking's offense has been reduced to almost 0. Guys named Charles Johnson, Jarius Wright, and Adam Thielen were getting looks over Patterson last year, and continue to this year, in addition to adding Mike Wallace to the roster. Mike Zimmer has been outspoken about Patterson's issues and even staged a mini-intervention this offseason by trying to set him up with an outside mentor, which I believe CP84 declined. Notwithstanding his kickoff return yesterday, Patterson's production has only been declining. There were serious rumors around Vikings camp that Patterson could be on his way out.

You want them to be a good special teamer.  Patterson is a top tier return man....and cheap.  So why are the Vikes gonna cut him this year? He fits that last WR spot fantasicslly.

Brown would be cut from the majority of teams in the NFL..

 

Byrd didn't get to play any as a WR in the pre season.. We want Brown who does not look smooth as a WR what so ever.. to be our guy. I doubt we sign anyone but someone to compete with the Bersin Boykin type slow hand non YAC guys
