Shaq-Tastic

I've watched Shaquille stand a rusher straight up and just back-flap-pancake players. His strength is in his core, and when your trunk is solid, the rest of the body has to be able to support that frame...scary to think he could still add bulk and what's even more amazing is how he maneuvers with quick-twitch legs and sturdy, yet nimble feet.

Just think...

Ealy (who has potential) Star, Short, Johnson TD Luke and Shaq, with shutdown Norman, bene, tillman, coleman, and boston

tell me that isnt better than what we had going into 2013. (Keep in mind, hardy had 9.5 sacks going into that year. If Kony can play like he has this preseason, i could see him getting 10+ sacks)

challenge me

yeah, he gets jukes sometimes, but it's usually at the line and our safeties are doing a great job of swarming when a rusher gets past that initial push.

I think it will come with more reps and getting more comfortable. I love the way he has been covering and the tackles after catches for next to nothing on returns. Shedding blocks and plugging holes will come with strength, experience and just getting more comfortable

considering CJ was on the mend most of last season and hopefully will be healthy this year...and with Shaq behind him,( I believe Shaq is already an upgrade at WLB over what we had maybe even going back to Witherspoon,) there aren't many holes for the opposing offense to exploit, I can see this as a top-5 defense without a doubt.

I don't know how much CJ still has in his tank but he really came on in the second half of last season. That's a scary edge...just have to hope Big Frank and Ealy can be the book ends so our OLBs get free reign behind the LOS.

Kinda wish we brought him in to be our SS instead of LB. would have given us some special talent back there and we would have solved the Harper issue.  He could always of followed TDs path almost to the letter as he was basically drafted to be TD down the road

just too much of an upgrade at the WLB, and too inexperienced to put him out on an island

but then again, he's a ball hawk and could possibly flourish as a roaming playmaker.

lot of people thought he would be a better S than LB or even a better RB.

He has mad talent.

I think our GM/HC values front 7 play so much that they probably didn't give it much thought iMO

wouldn't be surprised if he comes in as a back on goal line situations, considering we are pretty awful at those 3rd or 4th-and-ones

There was a particular play last night, 2nd or 3rd qtr, beers preventing proper recollection, but he straight stopped the RBs attempted impetus. Stood dude up is an understatement, dude lost a yard on impact, and then another on the tackle.... The world will soon know, hands down the top LB corp in the game.... As if Luke, TD & +1 wasn't enough, now they will know the name..........
