Bersin over Boykin

when we start playing the better players then we will have a shot at a superbowl until then our probability of getting there will be slim

i don't know why Rivera has this small town football club mentality, doesn't put the best product on the field and has some strange loyalty to sub par players

Bersin should be our 4th or 5th wr, we can't waste years of football waiting for players to catch on if they're not 1-3 round picks, we're the only team i can think of that let mediocre players linger on the roster several seasons before we cut ties

well, I can...Philly basically stole the reps from guys who deserved a chance to get them.

Philly is likely the 2nd fasted player on the team.  Speed simply means you run fast.  Not sure anyone can legitimately state he is a better WR than anyone else trying to make the team.   That is why those other guys deserved their reps.

But Ron had his mind made long ago outside of likely 2-3 spots who would make this roster and his depth chart.

IIRC,  Philly had a  4.51 at his pro day whereas Finches had a 4.47.

I honestly think both boykin and bersin need to make the squad. corey brown has not proven he deserves a spot. if we are truly only interested in the best 53, how does corey brown make it?

Because there is more to it than 2 preseason games and the coaches aren't as near sighted and irrational as our fickle fans.

anyone who thinks Berlin or brown are better than Boykin is either misinformed, uneducated or need some new prescription lenses. But give me Berlin over brown all day. Brown was a one trick pony with speed which ginn provides as well.

Who the fug is Berlin?

Where are Red and Lizzy, thought they already took care of Berlin.

If you put much stock in snap counts towards the roster cuts,  Bersin is leading Boykin by a wide margin.

40 snaps for Bersin

15 for Boykin

(Corey not in danger of being cut)

I heard reports Boykin had an up and down camp, and I know the coaches really like Bersin... I think if it was close, they would keep Bersin. Which is unfortunate, because I think Boykin has showed more in this preseason on his limited snaps than Bersin has.

my point is this...as of right now, Corey brown has not proven to me that he deserves a spot over bersin and Boykin. Am I saying bersin and Boykin are great, no...but they have performed better this preseason.

My point is that there is more to evaluate than just the last two games, there's all last season where he played well and showed a lot of potential. He's young and promising, why give up after two bad preseason games?

so you need to see more from brown? I've seen enough from him, including last year, that tells me he is not an NFL receiver...not to mention 1st string on my team.
