Charlotte Bar and Restaurant recommendations?

So my wife and I are closing on a second place in Uptown Charlotte near the stadium on Wednesday.  Wondering what are some places that have good food or some good nightlife in Uptown.  We are not big seafood fans, but like everything else.

Any recommendations?

BLT at the Ritz is great...for food.

Pinkys is close but these are both opposite ends of the spectrum

I know a number of people told me they like 5 Church and valhalla's pub.

I have also heard good things about valhalla's pub.  That little area seems kinda cool with valhalla, hooligans, and that irish bar.  So we will definitely check that out.
