What we really need from Funchess...

lol @ Brown's funk being "all mental", I disagree... The last 2 games you've seen Corey drop passes he's needed to use his hands for and not body catch them. Look back at a lot of his catches from last season, he'd often leave his feet and turn his body in order to make the catch giving up any YAC possibility. It was evident from the preseason game in Pittsburgh (game 4) when Corey was still fighting for a roster spot that he didn't fully trust his hands. Corey could've walked into the endzone after DA connected with him down the sideline but Corey left his feet in order to trap it.

If Gettleman truly believes Brown is the answer that's on the roster, we're f*cked. I will say that Brown is able to get open which is part 1 but he leaves little room for error with passes coming his way. Unless he has a solid outing against Pittsburgh (I bet he plays all 4 quarters) I don't see how the Panthers can keep him.

If Dickson is indeed improved, I could see him getting 300 yards if we decide to run more two TE sets with KB out. Cam did pretty well with those in 2011.

Bare in mind though, if Newton passes for close to 4,000 yards, that likely means our ground game is not doing too hot, which hasn't exactly resulted in a lot of wins for us. I would just be happy with a quality balance. But our run game is certainly going to be key.

how wrong you are

dude, cam passed for 4K in 2011 and we had a top 5 running game how ignorant you are

Top 5 running game? We haven't had a 1,000 yard running back since 2009 lol.

Cam Newton has been a large chunk of our running game since we drafted him.

Anyways, thanks for the kind words.
