So which team picks up Wegher?

WTF, are certain people in here trying downplay Wegher just because of his low production last night? The guy has three touchdowns in the preseason thus far with the limited snaps he's been given, and y'all value Fozzy more because he had a couple nice runs last night?

Get your heads and/or eyes checked.

me thinks you missed the point. The fact that he was limited last night makes it a good bet the Wegher isn't making the 53, regardless of what anyone here thinks.

As to the topic, wouldn't surprise me at all if he lands in Atlanta.

I didn't miss anything. It's clear as day that Wegher isn't gonna make it but it's a massive mistake with Todman providing zilch on Special Teams and Fozzy being a non factor for most of training camp and preseason. Again, Brandon has made plays. That to me is justification for him making the cut.

so you're saying he goes to Dallas then?

He must make the team, he's the #2 best RB here. His problem is not knowing the playbook and biltz pickup...

He has to make the team, gross put him on his show. Gross has to have insight and wouldn't waste time with a cut RB. That's my theory......

Panthers must look in the future, weghers' is bright!!

Yep Wegher is gone. Fozzy balled out and deserves his spot. Toddman looked good as well. You cannot cut neither because you know what they bring to the table. They are both great 3rd down backs.

Fozzy balled out? Stewart and Fozzy have looked horrible in preseason.

Todman is a rag doll that gets tossed around and makes a lot of mental errors.

CAP has yet to prove to me he can run through a defense and can utilize anything smaller than a 5 yard hole. He is not effective in the redzone and goal line.

There is only one RB on the roster I believe can consistently get the ball in the endzone and keep the chains moving in the running game and passing game. That is Wegher.

I know it's off-topic to this thread, but thanks to Jeremy, I tend to think of Wegher and Ward as a package.

You know, it just struck me that our own team may have jeopardized our ability to keep Ward on the PS last night?

James Develin whose leg got broken in that tackle from Mayo is a fullback...  Patriots don't have any backups.  Perhaps they'd now want Ward.  Yikes.

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/2015/08/29/fullback-james-develin-suffers-broken-leg-preseason-game/uhIO1CLQ42B6x6jX95bROJ/story.html

Develin, one of the few players remaining in the NFL at the mostly defunct position, had just five carries for zero net yards last year to go along with six receptions for 43 yards, but his blocking, locker room presence and special teams contributions have made him an integral member of the Patriots.

The Patriots have not yet announced any personnel moves involving Develin, but he could be a candidate for short-term injured reserve should his recovery fall on the shorter end of the predictions.

With fellow fullback Eric Kettani waived as of earlier this week, the Patriots have no clear replacement for Develin on the roster.

I bet a lot of teams have them on their list...

of of course he is probably way way way down on the list from Kenjon Barner.  Holy poo....dude looks fantastic.   Just ripped of another huge play a couple minutes ago.

Fozzy had a strong game given his reps the other night.  Against 1s.

Wegher has never seen NFL talent outside 4th q preseason talent.  No one makes rosters only facing that.  His fate was sealed when he never saw a down against real players
