i disagree.

OK then, I guess.

Next year, Floyd will be the 22nd highest paid WR in the NFL.  There are 32 teams in the NFL, so Floyd will be being paid #1 WR money.

You are telling me that you think Floyd is a #1 WR and is worth #1 WR money?

You think Michael Floyd is worth more than Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin combined?

he can be a WR1 when he has a decent QB throwing too him. I cant remember off the top of my head but Floyd had 1000 yards and a good amount of TDs in 2013. I believe he had Palmer throwing to him throwing him the ball who is a decent QB.

Last season he suffered rom having their backup (cant think of his name) and their 3rd stringer, Ryan Lindly throwing him the ball. Hes a deep play WR so the ball just wasnt getting to him.

I assume hes on his last year of his rookie deal. Hes a 1st round WR so its expected his cap hit will be like that. When KB hits that year in his deal, he will be paid roughly the sane depended on how his deal is steuctured and when he gets the bulk of his money. Olsen gets paid substantually less, hes a tight end.

I do believe Floyd is a #1. Hes had Jimmy Clausen calibur QBs throwing him the ball a lot of his career and there might be some injuries sprinkled in there if i can remember off the top of my head. I believe hes incredibly talented and could certainly produce like a #1 here considering the opportunity with targets and to play with the best QB hes ever played with.

Just a friendly debate btw

For sure, bro.

BTW, he did have 1000+ yds in 2013, but he only had 5 TDs.

The most TDs he's had in a season is 6 in 2014.

Agree to disagree.

A lot of salient points in a lot of posts.

Also a lot of the expected "it's only as preseason game" excuses. How quickly those posters forgot the article Jeremy published just a few days ago:

_________________________

"Last year around this time, the New England Patriots embarrassed the Carolina Panthers.

On August 22, 2014, the Patriots took Carolina behind the woodshed in the third preseason game of the preseason and administered a 30-7 beating. But it was really never that close. The Patriots held the Panthers scoreless for 58 minutes and sent the Panthers home with an injured Cam Newton.

This game ended up being an omen for the 2014 regular season. Many, myself included, brushed aside the 30-7 domination as preseason silliness. Turns out, Carolina was on the losing end of those types of blowouts early and often in the 2014 season. Meaningless? Not so much.

The Panthers do not want to be embarrassed again this week. This week, it is personal.

For the first two days of practice this week, scout teams have been used. Yes, they are game planning for Friday night. The Panthers are installing plays they feel will be successful against the Patriots. The players have spent time in the film room. Cam Newton and the starters will be playing into the third quarter. This is as close to the regular season it will ever get in August.

This week we have our first real look at the 2015 Carolina Panthers. Whether the performance is outstanding or dismal, it will be difficult to brush aside the results as "only preseason."

From my perspective in BOA last night, the defense may be able to keep some games close, but the offense I saw last night looks far too similar to what I've been watching for a few seasons now... and it's simply not that good. "Anemic" and "lifeless" might be appropriate.
