Better pay and benefits.  Plus to get anywhere outside of Hawaii takes a 5 hour flight. Gets old after awhile.

I'll be there until next Wednesday night so you might want to move sometime after that just to be on the safe side.

I could instantly make $25K more a year with my company if I went to Chicago and eventually more, but after weighing out the pros and cons it just isn't worth it to me. 

Going from Hawaii to Chicago is one Hell of a change but best of luck bro.

Yeah will have to unpack my cold weather gear. If I had my way would have started in the spring.  But this move will get me closer to family and Panthers games.  Just not looking forward to snow and cold.

I love Chicago. One of the best food cities I've ever been to; San Francisco being at the top of that list.

Oh, and the "Windy City" thing? Yeah, it's for real.

Been there twice and liked what I saw.  Good thing about the job is after a year I can live anywhere in the US and commute weekly to work.  Just haven't decided between Charlotte or Dc. Schedule is a 5-2-5-2-5-5. Every 3rd rotation is followed by 5 days off.

I love Chicago, but hate the weather.

 

Food, festivals, sports, etc...is awesome up there, but damn the winters are brutal.
