He's just not that good.  He surprised last year simply by making the team and making a contribution, but our WR corps was trash overall and he had 21 catches for less than 300 yards.  Not sure why everyone wanted to rush to crown his ass after that.  Anytime you get anything out of a UDFA, you have to count yourself as fortunate, but it seemed like everyone wanted to pencil him in as our starting slot WR for the next decade.  Easy now...

 

reminds me of when Hurney was being scrutinized and everybody was going "hey! hurney's a draft guru! All these players are starting!"

-yea, they're starting in spite of the fact that they're terrible and shouldn't be on the field but there's nobody better to unseat them because Hurney is awful at managing a roster

So after reading all of these comments about Brown I think it should have been titled lets trash Philly because he sucks and has no place in the NFL. I have nothing to say either way until I see him playing actual games during the season. It's almost insane how easily people forget that Philly really didn't play a ton of games last season where he was a targeted receiver. He played PR/KR where we all know how that looked and had a couple of injuries which caused him to miss some games as well. I don't think it would be fair to compare his stats to someone that's played in this position all season and targeted 60 percent of time. Clearly he has some work to do and I'm sure he knows it and it it needs to be done fast.  At this point because  I am not a Coach or anyone of importance on how things will work out with this group. I will just sit back a be a fan. Same goes for Bersin just let them play and let the coaches decide.

A month ago it was about last season, and I think the consensus was that he looked pretty good, all things considered. Now it's about 'what have you done lately?', and lately he hasn't looked very good. Feel free to wait to pass judgement until after some real games have been played, but don't expect that from everyone else. Some Huddlers are gonna do the 'cut him' thing after one bad performance, and that's just the way it is. Us fans don't like to see a receiver dropping passes.

Cam is not a QB to throw open guys, we don't run a WCO, and we haven't really had a big YAC guy on the team in some time.

 

You don't have to be in a wCo offense to throw open WR.. And I've seen Cam do it plenty of times...

Brown has Cam's cannon's coming his way now. He probably corrals those balls the best way he can. 

He didn't play with Cam in college where he did alot of Body catches... He also was catching the same way when DA was throwing to him...
