One thing to watch in JAX. Cruz/Beckham give warning of sorts

Seahawk DE Bennett was talking about that the other day....cry babies and average QBs paid like elite football players compared to actual good football players at other spots.

specifically mentioned Brady, Peyton and Cam as rare QBs who take hits like men and tell defenders nice hit....while the rest cry over every hit

well isn't that convenient for Bennett. He'd love for it to be legal for him to tee off on QBs because it plays right into his hands. If they get hurt it's much easier to win the game.

He basically was talking about QBs coming up after every clean hit lobbying for flags.  Which is weak.  He also mentioned the 2 most protected QBs in the NFL as "being able to take it" like men.   I think there is some truth to it.  QBs back in the day weren't treated nor acted like china dolls.  The greats apparently still don't.

I don't mind hits, just cheap shots.  There has been a continued focus on safety for a reason.  The game is brutal enough without going for knees and head-shots.

In this instance, "spearing" is never a good way to tackle.

I watched the replays of some of those "cheap" hits.

Looked like what I'd call valid secondary defense.

Now there was one "cheap" hit in that game in the secondary area and it was by OBJ.

that's because the QBs never got hit as hard as they have in the past 20 years. Players are bigger and hit harder. This has been documented. We can either try to protect the QB or watch them all land on IR by week 4.

well if anyone were to complain I would think the dinosaurs (Brady/Manning) would be doing it...

back in they day there were less rules.  So maybe the defender wasn't as strong but he could get away with more.  Wouldn't that even things out?

dude, I've seen both guys call for flags. Brady himself is known somewhat for it. Bennett's just ranting at the sky. Defensive player with a chip on his shoulder has sour grapes because the QBs get all the glory in the game. I get it.
