this likely could be the best Cam has ever looked in preseason.  It means nothing.  You are watching a QB who plays NFL football a certain way and then telling him to go out and don't do half of what you do.  

No worries about Cam Newton this year. 

Plenty of other things to worry about.  People spend way too much time worrying about the man especially when we have so many areas that deserve the attention.

I think preseason is better suited for QBs that are good at managing games. Short to indeterminate accurate passes , its the safe bet. schemes are vanilla and its less risky. Just wanna get out of there healthy.

 

None of that is really Cam's kind of game. He takes risk and can run very and hot and cold once he gets in a rhythm. All things not well suited for the preseason.

Cams style of play is not something you execute or show off in meaningless games. You put him at risk. Its like he said himself, there is not another player in the league like him.

My hope is that once he realizes his O-line isn't garbage his mechanics will improve and he'll start stepping into his throws. Dude needs to stop the back foot throws and he'll be fine.

Hasn't really been an issue this preseason.
