If the Panthers stay healthy and go 7-9 then it's time to fire Fox

Dude you have no clue about Football do you? Most fans dont and thats the problem. Kemo was used on ever down except passing downs because you use one gap DTs on those downs. Kemo can penetrate his gap and clog up the line. Thats something you dont get from many DTs. Oh and Ray Lewis had something to say about losing Kemo. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2624876

I love it how people have graps of the game of football when they don't agree with one posters opinions. Kemo may be pulled on obvious passing downs when the Panthers can sub....but he plays on passing downs.....opponents can and did make sure of that last season. Yeah, Kemo can clog up the middle....that isn't giving the penetration needed from the DT spot.....again, he is one dimensional and is overall an average DT in the NFL.

OK that makes three of us! I missed yours while I was typing my response.

I also don't buy the Kemo myth (losing him made the D play the way it did the last half of the year because they were bad with him there). Remember when they lost Jenks in 2005 and a lot of people panicked because he was a big part of their D? Well they did a pretty good job on D that year with Pep, Carstens Buckner and Rucker. Jenks is a better player (impact wise) than Kemo IMO. They should be able to survive this one ok in theory. They've done it before.

exactly....plenty of people remarked about our DT problems last year and how they limited how effective the front 4 was last season. The DT spot was a weakness going into the season and it was one last year.......Kemo missing the season can't be used as a scapegoat for poor play on the defense.

I disagree! If we go even go 8-8 or 9-7 we should fire Fox no matter who is healthy. This team has gone as far is it can go with Fox. Time for a change!

5th highest winning percentage among active coaches and no in house talent to promote. fuging winning idea there.

Only 3 active coaches have been with their teams longer than he has. I would HOPE that he would have a higher winning percentage especially since most of those wins came against cup cake teams. Too bad he has a 15-33 record vs teams above .500 and has never had back to back winning seasons. Like I said, he has taken us as far as he can go.

This has been discussed several times as we all know...if he makes the playoffs with this tough schedule keep him for another year. No playoffs- time for a change.

We saw some real excitement last year in this town...we need to keep that going to convert the city to the Panthers.

The Steelers consistently go deep in the playoffs and have winning regular season records. We've gone deep in the playoffs twice under Fox in seven years and have never had back-to-back winning seasons. The reason the Steelers don't switch coaches is because they always win. It would be stupid for them to fire a coach that wins as consistently as theirs do.

Check out Cowher's 15 years with the Steelers. 1 Super Bowl win, 1 SB loss, one 15-1 regular season with no SB appearance, several great RS records with early playoff exits and several bad years. He wasn't exactly handed a 1-15 expansion team back in the early 90's and they weren't always winning after he became the coach.

I agree.

7-9 for a HEALTHY team THIS TALENTED is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

Think about it;

Steve Smith (Top 4 Receiver)

DeAngelo Williams (Top 4 RB)

Jon Beason (Top 4 LB)

Julius Peppers (Top 4 DE)

OLine (Considered one of the BEST in the NFL)

LB'r Corps considered one of the best

Kicker (Top 5)

and we even have a guy in Gamble who draws a lot of respect .....

Not to mention a very good QB who is smart and can make BIG plays.

We have WAY TOOOOO much talent to go 7-9

7-9 = Bye Bye Fox.... IMO

Its time for Back to back winning seasons....

I am NOT cowher fan AT ALL..... BUT- the guys team was in the playoffs 13 out of 15 years.

With those odds, you are destined to win a SB....

just sayin....

There are no cupcake teams in the NFL dick licker, this goes to show what your critical perverted azz knows about football, which at best is very little.

Go suck one,you google up records and then pretend you are knowledgeable, something that an immature kid would do.

After reading some of your absurd posts ,my bet is the G in your name stands for gay? If you are not a Gayman, then you have all of us fooled.
