This game is pure gold. I'm sorry but its not even remotely the same madden of years past. FINALLY Ratings actually matter! If you have a iffy ass QB then guess what.. Don't expect to be making every throw like a shark with a laser beam attached to its head. Defense is great. The tackling is great. The coverage is great.

 

Im really impressed.. Yeah it definitely took a lot of growing pains in the beginning because it really really does play like a completely different game compared to the past maddens. Running is fun as hell. Passing is great. You HAVE to set your feet and if you don't good luck. Also if there is pressure on your QB it's going to be rough.

 

Draft Champions is fun as hell I just lost a 13-0 win streak because they wanted me to have 6 fugging CB's but eh.. The streak had to die at some point.

 

Next year I hope they revamp the battle in the trenches and if that is done.. We could be looking at the best madden every created.. Even better then possibly this one because at this point I really feel like this is probably the best to date.

 

Most of these people you see get pissed off is because their QB's aren't absolutely perfect and they are getting frustrated. Trust me I know I'm in a CFM and im having to play with fuggin  Drew mother fuggin Stanton. FUUUUG. However even though its very frustrating and I pretty much pray to the football gods that Drew doesn't go full retard on me. Its absolutely fun as hell.

 

PS. I'm undefeated with Carolina in ranked matched.. Arizona. however... yeah not so fuggin much. Cam is 10 times a better passer then Carson "slowest release known to man" Palmer and Drew "sometimes I like to pick my nose while throwing the football straight to the defender" Stanton. It really is like a breath of fresh air. And that Carolina D.. Holy pooh. ... Hooooly pooh.

Disagree. I won Draft Champions Championship with Colt McCoy as my fugging QB 4 straight. Granted I had Calvin Johnson, Demarius Thomas, and CJ2K on offense with me. Quick, short passes are cheese. Offense is so easy on this game.

 

My ultimate team is starting to come together. I have 92 overall elite legend Randall Cunningham with Cam as my backup. I have LeSean McCoy and LaDainian Tomlinson at RB. WR is stacked with Odell, T.Y. Hilton, Kelvin, and Alshon Jeffrey. At TE, I have Antonio Gates and Dwayne Allen. Defense needs some work but I've built a 85 overall team. 

 

Great Game overall. Best Madden in YEARS.

I've been grinding man. I'm in the military so I had a 4 day weekend, and am trying to save money. So I played MUT literally the entire weekend as opposed to bienge drinking and blowing money on strippers. Do the solo challenges and draft champions. I also downloaded the super deluxe edition and got some great stuff in those packs. Plus I enjoy making coins on the auction block. I buy badges to complete sets, then sell the completed set item for more than I spent on the individual items. I got Terrell Davis last night. I also have a green mystery box that reveals on 9/11. There are only 200 of them total so hopefully it's something good. I also bought one game changer pack that had a legend and elite.

BTW, if you're on PS4 and play MUT, and you just started, send me a friend request. I have a lot of Gold Cards that I'm not using and I'll trade them to you guys. I'll hook you guys up, so just send me shitty cards and we will coordinate the trade.

Madden has really been fuging me lately.

 

Just got finished playing an ultimate team game online against a solid opponent. I'm in pro 1st string and the competition there is ridiculous. Regardless, I lost this game 21-14. Right before halftime, my opponent is driving and my defense stops him. He has a 4th and 12 at my 34 yard line. He decides to kick a field goal, logical choice. Well the field goal is short. Sweet my ball in good field position with a couple chances to get in field goal range myself. Wrong. My PlayBook pops up, and it's giving me defensive formations. Are you serious, EA? So he's back on offense at the 41 yard line. There's 10 seconds left. I'm thinking it's 7-7, and my ball after halftime. No big deal. Wrong again. I'm in prevent 3 deep and my entire secondary gets burnt on a hail Mary. He scores a TD to go up 14-7 as time expires in the 1st half and this fugger had the nerve to message me and tell me I suck after the game. Great product EA! There is plenty more examples but I'm developing PTSD so I drink to forget.

IDK if they match-make the head-to-head games based on rank points or whatever, but my opponents are getting progressively crazier.

At first, I was playing 99% of online opponents who just played football. Called some stupid plays and inexplicably went for it on 4th and 22 from their 30 when down 14 in the first quarter, but mostly straight up players. No nano blitzing, no gimmicky schemes out of one formation the entire game where they ALWAYS got good blocks and open receivers.

Now I am apparently ranked in the top 7.8%. ALL I face are gimmicky opponents. A lot of Patriots players who literally run like, 3 formations and run plays that are successful against ANY defense I run. Man, zone, zone blitz, man blitz, cover 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, doesn't matter. Open receivers on nearly every play. Broncos runningbacks abusing me and breaking 4 tackles during a 20 yard run, most happening near the LOS.

I run a pretty stock offense. I keep a good run/pass balance and take what defenses give me...until they start nano blitzing, or calling coverages that NO route combination can take advantage of (not even flood concepts, which are DESIGNED to have somebody open no matter the coverage). Either these guys are just flat out great at the game, or they are gimmicky and take advantage of some bad coding in the game. It's infuriating.

Good news is, I beat a guy 21-17 because I returned a KR with Ted Ginn for a TD that gave me the lead, then a Norman pick to seal it late. Total offensive yards was like, 120. Most came on my opening, 80 yard drive.

What is up with offline franchise mode play?  As soon as you win a Super Bowl you're forced to retire.  WTF?!

not to mention how drive goals break the game by giving you too much confidence too early. win a couple of games, every player on your team will have 99 confidence, ratings shoot up, and cpu is no longer a challenge. Who wants to mess with sliders all the time? i sure don't. For some reason cpu teams don't have that ability. There is a work around that allows you to turn off drive goals and not have the issue however.
