The biggest bust FA acquisition that I just knew was going to get us to the Super Bowl was that ex-Seahawk receiver FA that Hurney signed. I can't even remember his name.  I was just sure that he would take us to the Promised Land.

yep also got the impression that he was a panicked attempt at plugging the julius peppers sized hole that would be coming shortly to the roster.  there's that "drafting for need" thing that gets discussed on occasion.

yikes i forgot all about joe adams.  that was something of a critically acclaimed selection too.  i think he had an eye popping return or two in his first preseason but never got over his fumbling issues.
