Preeeeeeetty sure that's hyperbole... Smitty caught more than one ball that was tipped in similar fashions throughout his career. I'm sure Jerry Rice or Randy Moss could have caught it too.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if the ball was tipped or not, and from the screenshots you posted you still can't tell. There's no definitive evidence without a slowed down video and I've yet to see one.

Either way his hands were so far apart and not around where the ball should have been, the ball went through his hands. I'm in the camp that says even if it was tipped, he still looked uncoordinated as all poo trying to catch it.

have seen more sensational catches than that. Your hyperbole knows no bounds.

Steve Smith would have had that ball, as would other receivers.

I am tired of arguing about Brown. He is JAG, and he continues to prove it.

Your undying love for him is inexplicable.

No, Smitty would not have caught and has never caught a ball that was tipped like that. No human has reaction time fast enough to be able to adjust and catch that ball. And anybody who has a brain would realize that. The defender got his fingers on the end of the ball just a few feet in front of Brown and in a split second the ball changed direction from going straight into his hands to going through his forearms. Nobody could have possibly adjusted to catch that unless they already weren't in position to catch it had it not been tipped. And a receiver seeing a spiral and expecting a spiral won't be able to catch it when it's completely vertical when it arrives. Neither of you have a clue what you're talking about. I have slowed down video which does show it better but have no idea how to post it on here. It's not "hyperbole" whatever that even is, it's pure logic.

Go back and watch Brown's first drop on the 2nd series, and try telling me with a straight face that that was a perfect pass.

The ball never hit Brown in the hands. If you look at these pictures then the one in my first post where it shows the ball completely vertical in between his forearms you can easily determine with 100% certainty that the ball was tipped. The first time it hit Brown was when it hit his shoulder after the direction and spiral had been changed. Nobody in human history could have possibly reacted and adjusted quick enough to catch this ball.

What's the old WR rule that I have already stated?

If the ball touch your hands you better catch it

It didn't touch his hands. It was going for his hands and was tipped away from them, making the ball uncatchable.

Just means there are too many dumbasses out there that see what they want despite being incorrect. When a small group says something, that opinion grows among the others  and spreads like wildfire. The record needs to be set straight. However, it won't help that much here. Many already have made up their minds and will not change despite the evidence. They don't want to hurt their pride.

Unbelievable man. Absolutely unbelievable. Maybe I just shouldn't even bother trying to point out facts and argue using logic instead of random pre-conceived thought in my head.

I know exactly what I am talking about, and I have for the last six months...

Don't really care one way or the other.  He showed last year that he has decent hands for an NFL receiver, not great but not terrible.  He had a bad night Saturday, but it was preseason, so I don't really care.  The only things that really concern me regarding Mr. Brown are can he continue to improve, can he get open if he is more a focus for the opposing defense, and can he stay healthy?

Guys, I found Corey Brown's Huddle account.

Here's the deal man. Let's say the ball was tipped. Congrats, the ball was tipped. Even if we establish this, the ball was not tipped significantly enough to alter the flight  in such a way that would make Brown look so incompetent at catching a football. Look at Brown's hands in the frame in which the ball "Should" have reached where they were. Now tell me that his hands are close enough together to even catch a football. I don't think they are.

Passes "Tipped" like that are caught quite often. Usually by bigger receivers with bigger hands. When they are caught it's usually when the receivers hands are actually close enough together to make the catch to begin with.

And dude, I get that you're a fan of the guy, but it's ok to admit when they fug up. I love me some Cam but the dude had a dumb interception on Saturday. It's alright that he's not perfect.

Tip or no tip an elite WR goes up and gets that ball before the defender even has a shot at making a play on it.  That way they either have the only chance to catch it or they draw the PI call because the defender will be forced into them.   I know thats easier said than done but, ideally, thats what would have happened on that ball instead of CB just waiting for it to float into his fingertips.  SS was one of the best at doing that despite being smaller/shorter than just about everybody he was going up against.
