Corey "Philly" Brown's 'Endzone Drop'

Man you guys sure are quick to turn on Philly over one bad game lmao.  Guess because he didn't light it up in TC like he did OTAs he's overhyped and sucks now.  He had 2 drops, don't know why 3 drops keeps getting said.

But yeah, he should've caught that TD pass.

Sorry, but other than his bad body catching habits (which is fixable) he has enough good film, in meaningful playing time, out there and outright skill that he's a virtual lock to make the roster no matter what.  Can't believe some of the poo I've read here since the Dolphins game.

I'm willing to give him another look, but if he has another big drop in game 3 I think he may have worked himself down the depth chart. Right now I have the feeling hes 2 and ginn is 3 but they may swap them if he continues to underperform.

It seems like you let a receiver off the hook if the pass isn't a "perfect spiral".

Brown had a poor game and he needed to catch that ball in the endzone.

I'm confident he will bounce back, but he had a poor game and people need to realize this. It doesn't mean that anyone hates the guy; he just needs to step up.

When you have to be so thorough to defend your player who obviously played badly, maybe you're overcompensating.

Just means there are too many dumbasses out there that see what they want despite being incorrect. When a small group says something, that opinion grows among the others  and spreads like wildfire. The record needs to be set straight. However, it won't help that much here. Many already have made up their minds and will not change despite the evidence. They don't want to hurt their pride.

Or some people saw the same evidence and dont see the tipp. You think this evidence proves it was tipped. I argue this evidence does not prove that. He says as you can clearly see a lot but I don't see it. Maybe I'm blind but I see him missing a non tipped pass.

Corey had a rough night and I think he would be the first one to admit it too......I have confidence he'll get things straightened out, but I don't think he'd be asking for us to defend him, he knows he's got a long way to go.  Good thing is he'll have all the opportunities in the world this season.

You people crack me up. The ball was tipped and not a single player in the history of the league could've caught it.

Preeeeeeetty sure that's hyperbole... Smitty caught more than one ball that was tipped in similar fashions throughout his career. I'm sure Jerry Rice or Randy Moss could have caught it too.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if the ball was tipped or not, and from the screenshots you posted you still can't tell. There's no definitive evidence without a slowed down video and I've yet to see one.

Either way his hands were so far apart and not around where the ball should have been, the ball went through his hands. I'm in the camp that says even if it was tipped, he still looked uncoordinated as all poo trying to catch it.

have seen more sensational catches than that. Your hyperbole knows no bounds.

Steve Smith would have had that ball, as would other receivers.

I am tired of arguing about Brown. He is JAG, and he continues to prove it.

Your undying love for him is inexplicable.

Pie for  thinking damn near the exact same thing I just posted.
