Isn't there a clause or something that if you sign a player after game one it benefits the team.

I think we go into week one with who we have and address it after game one if things are dismal.

Veteran salaries are fully guaranteed if they are on the roster week one.

That's why a lot of teams wait till week two to sign veteran players..
