Initial Diagnosis on Jordy Nelson is Torn ACL

Dammit! I seriously hope not. I like Nelson a lot. The NFL is going to be so watered down from so many season ending injuries to stars.

I still think the reason for so many injuries is the new stupid practice rules. Teams can't practice how they want to anymore, causing half ass practices. Then when they play a legit game, they aren't ready and more injuries occur.

Anyway, I wish Jordy a speedy and healthy recovery.

I was going to make a similar thread to reassure Huddlers that we aren't the only ones suffering injuries...  In this one game, Nelson tore his ACL, and the Steelers lost Pounced and Tuitt.  Not sure how serious those Steelers injuries are, but if I'm not mistaken, both were eventually carted off.

Damn... that is awful... didn't a Packers fan just post his condolences on KB too??

And I do not mean that in any kind of snarky manner- just irony.  The number of non-contact injuries is unreal.  It didn't look that bad to me on first glance, especially compared to KB's which looked like a torn ligament from the start.

On a Panthers note, though, it just shows that the Panthers aren't the only team that will suffer a devastating loss.  Nelson was their unquestioned #1 WR just like KB.

The truth is the NFL is an apathetic place to injuries.  Still got to play games.

The injuries around the league this year seems way higher and more hurtful than ever. What the fug is going on!

There's a new version of Gatorade that makes you weak in the knees.

Wow! Everyone is getting injured. This is crazy.

In order to even things up, every team on our schedule needs to have a star player out of action, at least for our game.

In all seriousness though, I hate to see any player get a season ending injury. Most NFL careers are short enough as it is.

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
