Interesting Bonnell tweet/deleted tweet

I'm sure at least a few of you guys saw this last night, but around 1 AM, Rick Bonnell reported that Portland and Minnesota were involved in a blockbuster trade that involved superstars and later hinted that the Hornets were involved. That fell through, but he also mentioned later in the evening that the Hornets and Wolves also discussed a huge trade that appeared to be dead, right as he started to elaborate on the trade, he deleted every tweet regarding the Hornets, but not the Wolves/Blazers. While this might be nothing at all, I find it interesting he deleted the ones related to the Hornets, but kept the ones regarding the Wolves and Blazers. As you probably know, teams absolutely hate it when the media and public find out about a trade while it's still in the negotiation stages. Perhaps Hornets PR asked Bonnell to pull his tweets because a deal is still in the works?

Just a theory, but we do know the Hornets are still active. Also, here's a screenshot I got.

Very wary about "blockbuster" deals with this team, since they appear to be going in the exact opposite direction they need to be going in as far as roster building goes. But, include the right players and get back a fair amount in return and it might not be that bad.

There have been rumors the Wolves are shopping Anthony Bennett so he would be the primary player involved.  Pekovic has the most crippling contract for them though and has been mentioned as well.  Rubio was more just rumors and if they were talking with Portland, I don't see Ricky in those discussions given their roster.

MN is 3 wide at center right now and cap wise, they would likely want an asset with a non-guaranteed contract which would be Zeller.

When I first saw the tweet and "blockbuster" figured it was Lillard heading to Minny to team with Wiggins.  Doubt Portland would give up Lillard easily, but if they're serious about a full rebuild thought it could be possible.

Never knew the Hornets were involved.  I'm sure it would've just been in a cap capacity, to help push the deal forward without bringing much in.
