The panthers will not look to add another receiver per Rivera

Well, we're following the same pattern we usually do going into each season.  There are a handful (more this season following the KB injury) of Huddlers who spend the offseason lamenting how badly we need to upgrade a position and the front office/coaching staff think otherwise...  Then we start out horribly slow in the regular season, too much light starts shining through those obvious holes we were complaining about to the point it can't be ignored anymore (think Byron Bell, the entire OL, or the entirety of the WR unit last season).  Our staff than makes adjustments (I.E., benches underperforming guys for others who didn't get a fair chance, release underachievers, sign a replacement, etc.) and then we start winning...   I just hope we make those changes this season before the hole we dig ourselves is too big.  Although, I will say we should win vs JAX without a doubt.

Man.. You and rodeo are the biggest doom and gloom posters on the board... Do you guys ever have hope for anything.... Ever?

I'm seeing a lot of people saying that it's just a front as to keep the guys on the roster confident, but I don't believe that...  I truly believe they aren't looking to add anyone else, and I think it stems from that "the answer is already on the roster" mentality, which I find to be incredibly stubborn.  I think we're trying to outsmart everyone and as I said, every year, we end up having to revisit that approach halfway through the season.

Lol you must just catch me at the wrong times...

I'm sorry, but when looking at the current group of receivers, you really think they present a formidable weapon to enable our offense to improve over last season's unit?  The OL is better, but this reciever group is hot garbage.  If you are overly optimistic, then you believe that these guys are going to play out of their fuging minds, and I'm sorry, but they won't.  I will gladly eat crow, as it will mean success for our team, but these guys are career slot/situational receivers outside of Funchess, and I do NOT believe he will produce KB numbers.

If you think they're going to "pick up the slack" as a group, it just isn't being realistic.   We need help.

some of you guys I would love to play poker with.... if Gettie and Ronald announce "We will be hosting a tryout for FA WRs" guess what kind of discount and/or leverage Gettie has

I'm pretty sure the league knows our receiving unit sucks regardless of what Ron says to the media lol.

Last week we were going to have one of the best receiver groups in our history.  Now with KB out we suddenly are going to be one of the worst?  Given that at this time last year everyone said we had the worst receiver group in the NFl and that was with KB, I dont think we are missing as much as some of you think.  Last season he only had 3 100 yard games and another 7 where he had under 50 yards.  And in 7 games he had 3 or fewer catches.  even by the numbers 73 catches divided by 16 equals slightly over 4 catches a game for around 66 yards a game.  I know his absence will hurt but his production will be more than made up by Funchess and Ginn.  And as far as redzone offense, he dropped more touchdown passes inside the redzone than he caught last year.  Again I am a big fan of him but lets be realistic......
