Rapsheet - Torn ACL for Kelvin Benjamin

I would rather suck and blow up the coaching staff than have another mediocre season. How much of Cam's and this defense's prime are we going to waste with Shula calling the plays? It really sucks because I truly believe Rivera can get the job done he just hitched his wagon to a dead horse. GMan makes it seem like Rivera and Shula are a package deal.

Is it bad that one of my knee-jerk thoughts was "well we will probably get a great draft pick next season"?

I still have high hopes for the realist but my expectations just got lowered alot, and it isnt a knee jerk reaction. This will cause a domino effect. Whoever takes #1 WR will be doubled, Olsen cant do it all. Box will be stacked early in the year agaisnt the run  until a #1 wr emerges. I know we have speedsters that can take the top off, but until we get chemistry and figure out who it is going to be, consistently defenses wont respect us. I figure it will take a month of season play to replace Kelvin. I hope Funchess can be the guy. That is a big ? mark just like Kelvin this year. 1000 yd rookie wr seasons are rare. We have to figure it out before the rough season stretch. My expectations were 11-12 wins, now it is 9-10.  Before this injury their was going to be a lot of man coverage, not the case anymore. Kelvin was 1 of 3 guys we couldnt afford to get injured.

This is just a huge catastrophe. I already know exactly how it'll play out. All we are going to hear is the answer is on the roster and the next man is going to have to step-up and capture the opportunity. We'll see absolutely no adjustments whatsoever while our offense fails to put up points time and time again. And then we'll hear the whole we're happy with what we did this season considering the circumstances.

I was thinking between 9-11 wins. I'm thinking 7-9 now.

I just hope if our offense is stale this year, that this is Shula's last season instead of using KB as an excuse for piss poor play calling and staying on board.

Not really.

In all honesty, this probably caps our season at 7-9 wins, unless Funchess absolutely explodes or we trade for someone good. I don't think either is happening and it's not fair to expect that from a raw, second round WR. Look at this poo:

Ginn
Cotchery
Funchess
Brown
Bersin
Boykin
Byrd/other dude we just signed/tackling dummy

That's brutal. We'd be laughing at Tampa if that was their lineup. We need to hope we have a running game that doesn't require piggybacking from our QB this year.

Feel terrible for Kelvin and I really hope people don't shred Funchess if he doesn't have a KB-like rookie season.

Ok all these people posting to nut up and everything... yeah we get it man.

This injury hurts. It just hurts real bad. Not hanging up the season, and I don't think anyone here is, but for God's sake give the fans a day to recover and filll back up with optimism, like we do in every fugin season.

Don't worry Carolina, we'll be here.

None of our WRs scare any DB
