While Rivera was being positive, sense here is not to get hopes up. Not sounding good for KB.

To recap:

- Norman was hurt but hurt so little he returned to practice

- Funchess tweaked hamstring, shouldn't miss any regular season games out of it

- No major fights

- KB with the sprain, Rivera sounded optimistic. I'm guessing he could play Week 1 if it's a sprain, but the coaches will give him the Cam treatment and sit him Week 1. 

 

So out of what was supposedly the worst training camp day in team history, there's a chance it amounts to 1 player missing 1 game that counts. Let's all calm ourselves.

People should really utilize some basic common sense when posting stuff like that, elaborating just a bit goes a long way.

You can't give everyone five minutes of a reprieve at least, even if this is the case? 

Sorry man, but that video showed what is almost certainly a serious knee injury.  Non-contact lower body injuries are almost always bad.

This really does suck...
 

Although I wanted other WRs on the board when we took Funchess, I was hoping I would be wrong and in the most optimistic outcome possible, we would see a 1-2 combo unlike any other in NFL history with he and KB looking like the twin towers.  Now KB most likely has a serious knee injury and may not be back on the field again this season.  This Funchess injury, although minor, is just another slap in the face.

Here's the thing guys: coaches are sometimes overly optimistic. And a lot of times, other team personnel think something is worse than it is. Unless the "sense" Voth was talking about came from an actual medical personnel guy, it's meaningless. Not one person out there: Rivera, KB, not even the Panther trainer knows how serious it is until he has that MRI done. Trying to read into what others are tweeting is pointless. Everyone saw the same thing you did on that video and that's all they know.

I've already accepted that Benjamin tore his ACL. Funchess, Brown, Cotchery, Ginn and Bersin are gonna have to step it up.
