Steve Smith Makes It Clear - HE Will Choose Who He Retires With

I have a pretty strong feeling he retires as a Panther. He may not care too much for the management, and how his release was handled. (Which doesn't surprise me) However, I believe he still loves the city and most of the fans. He was probably just letting a few jerks know what the deal is.

Will I be upset if he doesn't retire a Panther? Absolutely! But he will forever be OUR Smitty! THAT he can't change. IMO.

So he feels like the Panthers don't respect him even though he views Jerry like a father? He needs to quit being a butt hurt female. If he doesn't retire a panther it'll be because he chooses not to, and it'll be a poorer reflection on him than the organization

Honestly I'm not going to lose sleep if that's the case. If he really can't accept that he got cut that he would rather jilt the panthers and the long legacy he established here then so be it. It's going to be his loss in the end. That franchise has its own long list of heritage and players, and he won't even be remembered like Tony Siragusa is for that team. He means nothing to ravens fans like he does to panthers fans, but it's up to him to make the right decision. The right decision is to thank the Ravens organization for giving him the opportunity to play a few extra years but to cement his legacy in Charlotte, not to rebelliously stick it to the original organization and fail to see the bigger picture. He who eats alone, dies alone.
