Eli Manning is reportedly saying he wants to be the highest paid player in the game.

Side Note: For whatever you think of his ability, Peyton seems genuinely likeable, but am I the only one who thinks Eli comes across as kind of a prick?

Peyton seems more schmarmy/douchey to me. Eli seems more genuine. though this highest paid player thing is redonkulous.

Word that a couple of QB experiments have ended in Pittsburgh, as the Steelers have dumped both Devin Gardner and Tahj Boyd.

I recall some of our resident Clemson fans wanted the Panthers to give Boyd a shot when he came out. Looks like it's a good thing we didn't.

I actually like the one thread in the main forum. I never check the general nfl section.

Agree with this.  The football forum doesn't have much discussion - seems mostly Fantasy oriented?

I'd at least like a single thread in the main forum that deals with news from opponents we'll be playing this year.  One thread is good... more would be overkill.

So the Rams and Cowboys were having joint practices, and surprise surprise, multiple fights broke out.  Somewhere in the process, Cowboy receiver Dez Bryant apparently took a punch to the face.

I am utterly shocked to see Jeff Fisher's Rams squad involved in something like this.

Fisher is like a saint I tell ya....and by that I mean a New Orleans one, not the heaven type.

A lot of our fans are down right now with the loss of KB, but keep in mind that our rivals might have key losses as well. More major injuries and suspensions are certainly on the way, and if the NFCS is hit hard we might just win the division and find ourselves in the playoffs again.

even Green Bay is one concussion to Rogers away from being irrelevant. it's a long season, and a good team with heart can make it the playoffs

Yes a NFL season is often a battle of attrition. We've taken a blow from the injury bug, but a lot of other teams will as well. The Saints, Falcons, Seattle, GB, any team can be weakened from injury and improve our situation. Not to mention criminal activity and suspension. We have a loooong season ahead and we're already hearing about suspensions and key injuries striking other teams. No need to think the season is going to be a disaster. Not yet anyway.
