Joint Practices with the Dolphins

Very excited about the joint practices.  The Dolphins should be good competition on offense and defense.

I feel like Rivera is trying to keep a sustained level of competition throughout training camp and the preseason so we don't come out flat again to start the regular season. 

Football is a violent sport.  That's why it's so popular.  I don't want injuries, but fighting sometimes happens.  As long as it doesn't completely derail the practices, who cares?

I don't know for certain, but probably the Marriott at Renaissance Park ... not a flea bag.

I don't know where Huddlers hang out, but FYI, the practices with the Dolphins currently are scheduled to be held on the practice fields, not in the stadium. (Of course, that could change.)

As far as I can tell, it was never planned for Gibbs. I had early schedules, too ....

I think it must have been a mistake. The schedule was announced June 18, so I had it well ahead of that and it never said Gibbs ... but no matter. Right now, it's set for the practice fields.

How many fans will the hillside and surrounding areas handle? There is going to be a huge crowd for this joint practice; I just hope they are prepared.

Bring it on ... we can handle all spectators.

NOTE: Additional parking (in addition to the parking lots on campus already available for camp) will be available at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium with FREE shuttle service being provided by Hub City Hopper. Shuttle begins 1 hour before practice is scheduled to begin and runs for 2 hours following practice. (This is in addition to their shuttle service to and from downtown, running the same hours.)

Look for the Training Camp Parking signs for parking on campus. I suggest you be here early ... those lots will fill up quickly!

Practice is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

With this deep panther team this year, I hate this. Dolpfins will for sure pick up at least 2 panthers form cuts.

Excited for this, should be fun. That's going to be a LOT of people on those practice fields and on that hill.

It's encouraging to see Ron Rivera be willing to try something new re: TC.  He gets a reputation as being too conservative & staid in his ways.  Perhaps deserved in some ways at times.  But this shows he's willing to break out of the tried & true mold.  I like it.
