Have any of you noticed a difference in Cams deep throws?

His long ball improved when he got several big targets to throw to and a speedy guy like Ginn. Amazing what talent will do to improve a quarterback. Cam didn't forget how to throw deep balls from his rookie year to now. The wide receiver talent level finally has improved to the point that it is easier for Cam to find targets and make the throws while being given time in pocket. His O line allowed him to focus downfield.

He might just get Shula a head coaching job somewhere. :)

I didn't watch the game but I did see highlights. If I am not mistaken,  Cam added touch to his deep throws. The connection with Ginn Jr.  Even the play at practice a couple of days ago. If he had added that to his arsenal. Holy poo... Cam will be very dangerous with that alone. It could be because if his improved foot work?  I'm not sure but what I am sure of is that he never had touch in those throws before.

I think the main thing that the stats didn't say was that Cam went 1 for 6, then 4 for 4 to get to his 5/10 stat line. Knocking that rust off.

This site is homers and haters, nothing in between.

Everyone "hopes" that the Panthers win, that Cam rushes for 100 and throws for 300 per game, that our sacks are cut back to 1 per game or less, that our backs become a feared stable that runs through holes that you could drive a truck through, that KB scores 25 TD's this season, that our D leads the league in fewest points allowed, that 12 Panthers make the pro bowl.

But, it seems like most want to make their hopes into reality and kill anyone who is realistic about football and our team.

Our DE's did very little last night and if we don't get better performances from them, it will be hard for our D to get off the field as opposing QB's will have all day and eventually, a WR will get open.  Our Oline did do worlds better in pass protection, but looked very inept in opening holes for the RB's.  There was 2 Cams last night, one was ineffective and one looked like he was all pro, he finished 5-10.

Bottom line, there were good points and bad points to the game last night.  Hoping, like every coach hopes, that we capitalize on the positives and clean up the negatives.  But it is certainly hard to be a realistic football fan on this site.  You seemingly have to say that we were great and gonna kill the league this season, or you are shouted down as someone who hates the Panthers.

Looking forward to the season, but man, kinda dread the bipolar fans we have.  You know, the ones that wanted to cut Funchess after he dropped the first pass, but then opined about how great he is gonna be just one pass later.
