Hardy was a first round talent that dropped to the sixth round because... well... we all know why now. Regardless, it took Greg several years to get adjusted and he was a wrecking machine coming into the NFL.

no. Hardy was a good player as a sophomore, which is the season that Ealy is going into.

No, he was not. Greg was Ealy. He displayed his potential as a pass rusher but he sucked against the run and was nonexistent against the top half of starting OTs in the NFL at the time. Hardy was pancaked quite a few times as I remember it.

I'll just disagree with this. 

 

One thing is for certain, you can tell very early on that Hardy had a much higher ceiling than does Ealy. That's not a knock on Ealy because Hardy is a supremely talented player.

yes, i understand that hardy took some time to get acclimated, thank you. however ealy had a bad camp and couldn't do poo against 3rd stringers, don't get offended when someone makes a thread to talk about it. there are other threads you can circlejerk in.

compared to Taylor he is slow as fug, as is every other DE in the game.

He's about the same speed as Wilson, Kaepernick, and Mariota. Not quite as fast as guys like RGIII or Pryor.

 

Definitely elite speed for the position. Still, there are some pretty insane athletes at DE.
