Its one preseason game. Believe it or not everyone is getting back into football shape.

... Hardy was a sixth round pick. No comparison there. Ealy gets more flak because of his draft position more than anything.

 

You guys have to remember; Defensive linemen don't flourish in their first two seasons right away. Unless they are just freaks of nature.  Ealy was playing without the starting line up. This is his second year so I don't expect a huge impact from him. Still, it's his second year and first preseason game. I ain't worried.

eh, Brady is a product of a system. That's my opinion on him. Not saying he doesn't have talent but he has a lot of help.. 

 

Either way, Hardy did not make an impact or break out until his third season. Again.. I ain't worried and I'm not going to compare talent levels between Hardy and Ealy. If I do it will be year to year basis and seeing as Hardy wasn't exactly stellar his rookie season I'm still not going to worry about it..

Hardy was a first round talent that dropped to the sixth round because... well... we all know why now. Regardless, it took Greg several years to get adjusted and he was a wrecking machine coming into the NFL.

... So does this mean if the Panthers had gotten Hardy in the first round, the huddle would have had a huge hissy fit his first two seasons?  Probably so. Ealy was graded a first round talent as well. So yeah. Jury is still out on him man.

Tom Brady is the system. You're crazy. I can't stand that bitch but Tom Brady is supremely talented.

 

i definitely was not suggesting people to judge ealy right now. My posts say as much. He flashed repeatedly in the Seattle playoff game. 

People get too caught up in drafted rounds instead of talent. Ealy is talented but hardy is on another level. So that was my only gripe about your post.

Ealy came on strong at the end of last SEASON, and we JUST got finished with the first PRESEASON game.  Besides still developing, he's obviously still rusty.

It's a little discouraging, but he was also playing without the majority of our starters on the DL.

At this point we should have him move in with Charles Johnson.

Everyone called it that we would have cry babies after the first preseason game, but I didn't want to believe it.

It is accurate that Ealy is catching crap just for being a 2nd rounder. I recall Alexander and Addison looking average as well but with more time in the league to develop, but I suppose they get a pass?

People here kill me. A player is an All pro or he is garbage...

I'm gonna watch the re-air of this game this week, don't like hearing that the pass rush didn't look good but missing 3/4 starters it's to be expected that they're gonna struggle

what we saw last night without star and charles johnson was basically equivalent to the 2011 d-line backed up by a hulked out linebacker corps.  i think the freakout is unwarranted.

Pass rush was good last year with ealy Horton and addison, adding frank should help and once we get the rest of our starters back we'll be fine....I think
