Yeah, actually, they do game plan Special Teams. Just not in preseason while they're trying out personnel. Heck, a third of their kick or punt coverage team may be cut by the opener so there's not much to plan until then. At least no one dropped the ball lol. And Bersin had an honest-to-God well done fair catch. :)

Yeah Igo, I was not impressed with ST tonight. Rome wasn't built in a day. I have faith we'll be fine by week 1 and hopefully ST will be an x factor for us later in the season.

this. dudes were missing tackles, but nortman had an exceptionally bad night.

Yeah was disappointed overall.  Colin Jones still looks good.  Todman looked pretty good except for the DOG penalty.  Byrd had one pretty good return.  But coverage was weak,  as usual.

Yeah, this is it guys. Why do they even have a coaching spot at special teams in football? All you do is set formations and let them go at it. There are no correctable mistakes.

I'm hoping we don't wear out Nortman with too many reps in camp & pre-season.  Sounds like they're monitoring his kick count carefully, but I wish we had kept Matt Wile around longer.

i am not sure how we are so consistently sorry at kick coverage.  We look slow and undisciplined again.

Blackandbluereview breaks down the punt coverage an shows how after two punts they played quite well. Nortman explains he hit two low line drives which made it very difficult on the coverage team.
