Under the Radar Smitty Moments

Tbh, I love Smitty so much, I loved some of his worst moments...   Like the time he kicked that dickhead defender from the Texans in the head for twisting his leg after the play was over.   I was pissed he got penalized, but I felt so much satisfaction in that he did what I felt like doing through the TV lol.

I also took great joy in him getting up from Harper's cheap shot and then proceeding to beat the poo out of all comers and dragging Jenkins around by his face mask for an eternity.

I also loved that time he ran out of bounds against the Falcons on their sideline and almost started a riot singlehandedly and attempted to fight the entire team lol.

I agree, he is the greatest Panther in our first 20 seasons, and was certainly my favorite from that time frame...  The reason I loved him was because he embodied that anger and passion that everyone who had ever been counted out has felt.  He fought with every ounce of his being on every play.  So some of those "bad"  moments to me, we're actually great moments...   Sometimes, he did exactly what everyday people want to do (stand up for themselves fearlessly), but can't.

not under the radar but my favorite Smitty moment was him eviscerating Chicago in the postseason. If you don't remember we had a mini-rivalry going with Chicago back then, and they had beat us during the regular season.

respectfully disagree.  I can see why some want to look away and focus elsewhere but that is why it is a forum.  It is definitely about the Panthers and with Smith in the title anyone can easily avoid peeking in if they so choose.

that's why I didn't move or delete the thread lol. It's walking a fine line when it's a "let's talk about how awesome Steve Smith the Panther was" thread versus "Steve Smith is awesome, let's talk about him" thread.

I know where my boundaries are haha

the bold is why he's my favorite player in any sport. He was fearless. I remember seeing that on TV, and wanting to join in the ruckus myself lol.

Growing up, some of us neighborhood kids would play tackle football after school. Every time I would score a TD, I'd mimic one of Smitty's dances.

I think mods should have a Steve Smith exception rule. Anything about Steve, given this is his last year, should be allowed in the Panther forum. I think a one year exception should be in play. We will never get this opportunity again.

To answer the OP, the most under the radar Steve moment is when he donated $100,000 to the Aurora Theater victims. Fug the haters, that's true class.
